Losses of PAVN in Operation Scotland II[edit]

Losses of 3304 PAVN killed in Operation Scotland II was added by User:Mztourist with [1] contribution on 12 April 2018.

But the cited ref url=https://archive.org/details/HighMobilityAndStanddown|year=1988|isbn=9781494287627|page=23 does not show that number. It just showed

The Marines on Russell suffered 26 killed and 77 wounded, while accounting for 25 enemy troops, most of whom were cut down inside the wire. Marine patrols pursued the enemy north toward the DMZ at dawn, and reported finding bloody uniforms and bandages, as well as several fresh grave sites along trails the enemy used in their escape.

The end of February found the 4th Marines engaged in base security and reaction force duties, and in patrolling the areas immediately around Fire Support Bases Neville and Russell in an attempt to severely punish the 27th and 246th NVA Regiments. On the 28th, Operation Scodand II ended with most regimental units remaining in place throughout the operational area.

on right column.

Moreover, in the standalone Operation Scotland II, 3304 PAVN troops killed appears in infobox without any ref. I tried to count all PAVN losses in the article body and got only 1442 Leemyongpak (talk) 01:29, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-NPOV terminology?[edit]

Last paragraph of the section titled "Attacks prior to relief of the base" starts with the words "Cumulative friendly casualties for Operation Scotland..." Friendly to whom? Shouldn't this be simply "Allied casualties for Operation Scotland..."? GNillePuh (talk) 12:30, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
